The Old Custom House

Hastings, Old Town

The Project

This floor has had years of life, hustling and bustling throughout its existence on the busy Hastings Old Town Sea Front. For many years, The Old Customs House has been used for many commercial opportunities; it is such a beautiful building in the heart of Old Town, so as you can imagine, the floor needed a lot of love given back to it. With it now being a restaurant we wanted it to be pristine and professional. So to do this, we worked with the client to make this floor exactly how they envisioned it - if not exceeding their expectations.

The Process

First, we wanted to ensure the client was going to get the exact floor they wanted, so we carried out an initial sample patch of the floor to ensure it was the correct match that the client wanted. We were then able to commence the work with excitement to uncover the beautiful artwork of the floor beneath. By doing full sand back of the floor, we uncovered the stunning natural state of the raw wood beneath. To maintain the floor, we used commercial-grade matte lacquer, which helps it hold that fresh and brand-new floor look.

The Outcome

The floor is like a breath of fresh air for the client, now being a gorgeous focus point of the restaurant. The client is over the moon with the final floor exceeding how they envisioned the floor looking. See the picture above to see the final product!

Robertsbridge, East Sussex

The Project

Poppinghole Farm is a beautiful property is made for leisure and relaxation for its clients, so they wanted the stone floors within the pool and spa building to reflect this. They wanted the grout cleaned thoroughly so that the lines between each stone slab were prominent and fresh again. They wanted the stone to be refinished due to the wear and tear from the pool water (chlorine etc).

The Process

Carrying out a sample patch for the client on a small section of the stone floor so that we could then show the client the floor’s full potential with a stone clean and polish. Once the client was happy with the sample that we had provided on the floor, we then started the work on the stone floor. Using diamond polishing pads we can remove the grit and staining from the stone and bring it back to raw stone but with a new and refreshed.

The Outcome

The floor has a new refreshing finish - brightening up the pool area making it a sanctuary again for its clients.

Poppinghole Farm Spa

Judges Bakery

Hastings, Old Town

The Project

Judges Bakery, one of the most famous bakeries in East Sussex, the original Hastings branch needed their floors sprucing up for the busy day-to-day traffic of customers getting their daily produce & bakery goods. So due the wear and tear of this Judges asked us to help bring life to the floor that once was.

The Process

First, we carried out a test patch sample on the floor so we could work with the client to achieve their perfect floor, making sure the sample was everything they were envisioning for the bakery’s floor, making it once again a vibrant floor.

Once the client was happy with the sample, we were able to commence the work on the floor. We did a full sand back to the raw wood so that we could start fresh on the floor boards. The process is completely dustless - the sawdust that is produced is sealed in the machines we use so that the process is completely dust-free, meaning no cleanup after the sanding is finished.

Once sanded, we then put down a commercial-grade lacquer - this was chosen due to the heavy customer and staff traffic within the bakery.

The Outcome

We’ve finished transforming the flooring which has unleashed immense warmth and character to the traditional bakery. We provide a two-year warranty which covers the finish wearing away so the client can be confident in the durability and us as a company with the maintaining of the floor we have restored for them keeping it prestine and durable.

Beulah Baptist Church Hall

Bexhill, East Sussex

The Project

In need of restoration of this once vibrant hall at Beulah Baptist Church in Bexhill, the church wanted the floors to be completely refreshed, including the line marking.

The Process

We carried out an initial test patch on the hall floor to make sure we had the client’s perfect floor matched to the idea they wanted for the hall to be restored to its former glory. We then carried out a six-stage sanding process, line marking and painting, and three coats of lacquer for ultimate durability. We wanted to ensure the floor quality would last because it is predominantly used as a sports hall where heavy wear on the floor is a constant.

The Outcome

The floor has been restored to a beautiful and refreshing light wood giving it a completely fresh room feel, welcoming and warm not only for the regular visitors but also the community.

The Beacon Shopping Centre

Eastbourne, East Sussex

The Project

We had the fantastic opportunity to work with the Beacon Shopping Centre to help restore the shopping centre floor after the Covid-19 guidelines had a flooring stuck down with heavy-duty adhesive. This was a huge task; the client needed the walkway removed and wanted the original floor to be back to its former shine without any residue of the adhesive.

The Process

This project was one of the largest ones we’d taken on as a company, but we like to aim big! We started by removing all the pathway that was lined throughout the shopping centre, we done this by pulling it up bit by bit ensuring that we didn’t damage any of the existing floor beneath.

The Outcome

A glowing shopping centre floor, free from the residue of the adhesive and looking brand new ready for the busy days ahead of customers and staff over christmas.

Our client came to us wanting to spruce up their new home, they knew their old floor had to go, they wanted something more traditional and a lighter shade of wood which would compliment the space and lighting within the room. They wanted a completely new floor so they could have a complete transformation of the space.
